No, unless conducted by an untrained technician or if you have a contraindication. The cooling agent, nitrogen, is in 78% of the air we breathe every day. Cryo Fitness has certified technicians to run your sessions. They are fully trained on safety and operational protocols and are capable of stopping the session if you want to get out before your session is complete. You are not locked into the cryosauna and can simply tap on the door for it to open. Likewise, there is no lock on the door of the cryosauna so you can step out at any time.
Because the effects of cryotherapy are different for every client, it will depend entirely on how your body reacts to the session. Typically, most clients feel an increase of energy and flexibility and a decrease of inflammation within the first few minutes or hours. Some clients feel the first impact the next morning after a sleep cycle. Many report noticing a deeper sleep and feeling reduced pain and inflammation the following 48-72 hours.
You’ll be required to wear minimal clothing. Men usually wear shorts and woman swimmers, gym gear, active wear, etc. Clients must wear their own socks in the cryosauna. We provide slippers and gloves which must also be worn during the session.
This allows for 90% of your skin to be exposed to the cryosauna’s cool air. Hair can be down and makeup and face lotion can remain on during the session.

NOTE: Do not apply lotion or any moisture to your skin 1 hour before your session. No jewellery or metals can be worn below the neck.
The first appointment with Cryo Fitness can take anywhere between 10-15 minutes. We like to educate our clients and answer any questions they may have. After the first appointment, sessions typically take 5-7 minutes from start to finish. The actual time you stand in the Cryosauna is between 1-3 minutes.
Liquid nitrogen is harmless. Nitrogen is a non-flammable and non-toxic gas. The nitrogen that cools the Cryosauna is the same nitrogen that makes up 78% of the air we breathe.

Clients initially take 10-20 treatments in close succession within their first 30 days to maximise results, followed by 2-3 treatments per week to maintain. Some people experience noticeable improvement after just one treatment, but optimal results typically occur with at least 10 sessions within your first month.
